Yes.

I've always loved the sound of this synth.
Reminds me of Mind Bug, and Glass Eye.
I always have very intricate visions when I listen to your music.
Maybe I just put to much meaning behind the songs, or maybe they mean just as much as I think they do.
But whatever it is you do, all of your songs touch my heart.
Thank you for always giving me something great it listen to!
-Aaron.

VegetarianMeat responds:

Thanks for enjoying my stuff :D

In this song there's two different synths playing actually, although it pretty much just sounds like the one. Basically I made another, 'version' of that synth with some experimentation. You can hear a solo version of it in my other song, 'creek.'

I love this SONG.

All hail the DLL.
Keep up the good work, son.
- Aaron.

Nicely done.

I think this deserves a ten, especially with how much better it sounds than before.
If anything, the only things that I can really think of.. If you want to work on this song more, is to add a little percussive instruments like high-hats and such, and maybe through a little compression on the kick, but that's about it, overall I really like this tune, it's goin on my iPod for sure.

ChubackaJade responds:

Dont you just love when you get addicted to your own songs? Thanks man I will give those things a try for one final mix....for now...........

Yes.

I thoroughly enjoyed this tune. In fact, it happens to be what inspired me to write my latest track, and first attempt ever at making House music.
I've been really getting into House lately, and you nailed it, it even had some minimalistic elements there at the beginning which EVERYONE loves.

So, great job man, keep up the good work,
and thank you again :).

-Aaron.

DigitalPulse responds:

I inserted those elements in the beginning because I love them also :) As for your song, I wish you good luck on making a nice house song.

Thanks for the review,

Digital Pulse

Very Nice. Very very nice.

The intro is extremely catchy.
Within the first like 15 seconds I was like, "Umm, 5."
It has a very minimalistic style to it, it almost reminds me a little of Deadmau5's older music before he got super popular.
Great work, I love minimalist music, the melodies and harmonies are wonderful.

Just some advice:
You're going to want some hard beats, and some deep bass in there when you finish the song. Some nice compressed kicks and snares maybe, and a smooth bass, so it doesn't take away from the tranquility of the song. The beats as they are aren't really impacting enough, and without any outstanding bass the hardcore trance fans are going to be whining like CRAZY.

I've Dj'd before, so if you plan on playing this in a club (which it is almost ready for, if you decide that you would like to follow what I've suggested) I think it will become a huge hit. Great job my friend, PLEASE finish this, I love it so far.

- Aaron.

RandomPanda responds:

Thank you very much fro your review! O:
I will take all & any advice into consideration. Yours seems to be what I was trying, but I couldn't get it right. I just recently tried to finish this song up. It's coming together. I hope you will enjoy the finished product as much as I enjoy making it. Thanks again, Aaron. :3

Hmm.

I just wanted to start of in by thanking you for reviewing my newest tune.

So first; In response to Lance: I have used all the programs of which you named for mixing purposes, when making mixes of my own music for dances etc, and I use FL, Reason, and Logic for the creation of my tunes. So I have heard all of the loops in each of which you mentioned, and these are not pre-made samples, it sounds like the guitar is love recording (judging by the static) as well as some other instruments, which brings me to my review...

I noticed some confusion towards the middle of the song, maybe a bit to much reverb, as at points the song seems to be over-run by noise. But it also adds some fullness to the song, despite the loss of sound quality. But that's my personal preference, I like when a song sounds epic and is just full with sound. I'm an audio-addict. I think the drums would sound better with a little less reverb and distortion, and maybe turn up the volume on that channel in your mixer a little bit so they stand out more. As well as the violins, I think those should stand out a little more, because there isn't really a dominant melody in this song, it seems like the majority is just all the recordings being played at the same level.

Mind you, I still really like this song, just needs a little touching up.
Overall good work.
- Aaron.

ADR3-N responds:

Thanks for the review. As I said earlier, I took some guitar loops and actually played them into the sound recorder (that's why it's got such static in it) . . I agree with you about the reverb and stuff. This was made back when I sucked at mixing, lol. Thanks for the review!

Hey dood.

The only reason I voted 8 was because it's incomplete still.
I just began work on this today, expect another anthem my friend.
It's going to be massive! Good work.
Thank you for the inspiration :P
- Aaron.

P.S. (I love the bassline).

ChubackaJade responds:

Aww hell yeah i can't wait

Yeah, I like this style.

At first I was listening to it and thought: "Hmm, this is interesting, but I like his ambient stuff better.."
Then the drums came in, and the new melodies, and the "Other Things"
I absolutely love the turn out.
The drums especially, that was killer man, great great tune. You're glitch stuff is great.
- Aaron

VegetarianMeat responds:

Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed it in the end :)

Wow.

I went to listen to this song and here is what I saw:

11 votes
111 listens
and it was 11:11am.

I had to go to work, but now that I'm back I really wanted to leave a review because this song has been stuck in my head. The intro was great, I thought you did an excellent job production wise, the whole tune was pretty well rounded. The only problem I had with it was that certain sections lacked originality, though they still had character... It sounded almost like a cheesy 80's film, especially during the parts where that high pitched synth was modulating around. Even more so when the bass started modulating around as well. Not that it's really a bad thing, because it did give the song it's own feel. Some parts were really interesting, especially when the bass was arpeggiated around 2:15, I really liked that effect.

Anyways, overall, the song was very unique and I enjoyed it in a different way than I usually enjoy music.
Good work, maybe you could hit me up with a review on my new song "Dust Man" It's quite unique and I think you might enjoy it. It's very progressive though, so you've got to listen all the way through.

btw: The ending of this song was great. Great cave-ish, tribal, jungle feel.

Sincerely,
Aaron.

Darren-M responds:

HA. the first review says it sounds like a circus, the second said some sounds were cheezy, and you ssay it sounds like a cheezy 80's film... i hear this alot lol, especially my music being circus like, which is ludicrous because its not in 3/4 but i guess i am just really dorky at heart.

anyway wow that was weird 11, 111, and 1111 LOL that is really a coincidence.

this was a great review i am really flattered that you went to work and cameback to still write the review.

i will check out your song sometime soon

thanks!

Hello.

This review will be in response to your request :).
It will be in time lapse format.

And lets begin...

0:00-0:06: I like the chord progression, it automatically sets the mood. Drifting, cheerful, a little intense, but not too harsh. I like the overall introductory vibe, which is one of the most important elements in a song. The only recommendation that I would have for this section is that you maybe add a little delay or reverb to the pad you used, it sounds just a bit dry, and I think it would sound good if it was a bit more lush. Still, I like it :).

0:07 - 0:19: Great great sound! That was the lush / wet sound I was looking for. You hit it on the head, it's not too muddy, but you feel very relaxed. It almost gives you that beach feeling. I really like this! The melody is constructed very nicely, you're sound choice is excellent as well. No clashing at any frequency level, low tones are just right to the point where the song feels full, but not stuffed.

0:20 - 0:33: Haha I really like the little cymbal crash to bring in the drum beat. It's very subtle but it sends kind of a light hearted vibe down your spine. As I listen further into the drumbeat it really does send off that Hawaiian beach scene image.

0:34 - 0:47: Well, I like the bass sound you used, but there is a little bit of clashing with the other instruments on a mid-range level. Not to much of a problem, it happens a lot, and luckily it doesn't really detract from the song at all. I love the shift in the guitar melody, it almost went from Hawaiian to Arabian, but you caught it back on track with the second section of the first 2 beats.

0:48 - 1:10: I really like that you brought back in the mellow pads. If you hadn't had done so, I think the song would have lost it's mood within the next 20-30 seconds. *This song is timed very well!* The fade out on the drums and bass went very smoothly, without error. Great work!

1:10 - End: Perfect, perfect. The song has just the right fade out length. You get the feeling like you've had just enough. Normally I would have said this song was too short, but I think it actually fits nicely. Good work my friend, continue along this path of production, it suites you very well.

5/5 10/10

Sincerely,
Aaron.

SFaPiL2 responds:

Thank you very much!

I love your review. The fact that you sub-divided it into time-sections makes it very easy to understand where I might have gone wrong and this helps me alot. Plus, you gave an in depth explanation from a listeners point of view [very useful :o)].

I agree with what you said about the pad. The pauses between each note were WAY too silent. I'll probably toy around with the delay and reverb with the next songs I'll make.

I'm very glad you liked the percussions in general :o). I must say that this was probably my most refined (and successful) work regarding the choice and creation of the beat in general. Good to know it worked.

The bass sounds a bit strange now that I'm listening to it, plus it seems a bit out of context with the "peacefulness" (gives it a sad/bored feeling). You're right.

"This song is timed very well!": Thanks! That's one hell of a compliment for me :o).

"continue along this path of production": I will focus on this kind of structure in future creations.

You're too kind with the score ;o).

Cheers
